What happens when a girl and a boy from New Jersey moved to the DC area separately and met in George Washington University? They might just fall in love!

Susan and Ben came to the DMV area for college, little did they know they would be here to stay! The two met on campus and hung out with the group of friends, and they just considered each other as friends in the beginning. It wasn’t until their junior year that they saw each other in a different light and began to hang out more with each other. After several years of dating post college, Ben made it official and proposed to Susan at Old Town Alexandria and the rest is history!

For their engagement session, we chose the lovely Old Town Alexandria, where the two came often for their dates and where Ben proposed. It was a beautiful summer morning with the perfect light. We stopped by the famous Captain’s Row, the Athenaeum, the Wales Alley, and the waterfront. Susan and Ben were an absolute joy to photograph! I can’t wait for their wedding day to come next May!
