Brenna & Lawrence || Great Marsh Estate Wedding
A true family celebration of love - that’s how I would describe Brenna and Lawrence’s wedding at the Great Marsh Estate in the summer.
I have been feeling giddy about this wedding since it was going to be at this beautiful estates that would make you feel like as if you were teleported to the countryside in France. The weather was perfect for their wedding day - temperature in the low 80’s with low humidity and gentle breeze. Brenna and Lawrence got ready with their wedding party. Both of them being gift-givers, they prepared thoughtful gifts as a thank-you for standing by them throughout their lives so far, on this wedding day, and being part of the new life chapter in the future.
Brenna and Lawrence had their first look in front of the iconic house of the property. Though Brenna thought that Lawrence would be the one to get emotional, she herself ended up being the one tearing up! Afterward, we brought out the wedding party, who has been peeking from the inside of the house, for photos, what a fun group!
The ceremony was set at the courtyard in the back of the house. During the ceremony, Brenna and Lawrence honored and thanked their parents by giving thank-you speeches. Coming from an immigrant family myself, I couldn’t help but to tear up with them as they recounted the times when they witnessed their parents sacrifice for them and the family in hopes to provide a better way of life in the US. Even more tears came about when Brenna and Lawrence were sharing their personal and beautiful vows with each other. What a beautiful celebration of commitment and love!
While the guests were enjoying each other’s company at the front lawn of the house during cocktail hour, we took the couple to the iconic tree lines of the properties for some alone time. It’s so important to take some time and soak in the fact that you are married on your wedding day!
The reception was held at the stable of the property, decorated with intricate flower arrangement and candles. Brenna and Lawrence were invited into the space for a first-look of the reception, and we even had them taking the time to practice their first dance at the dance floor without the distraction from their guests. The reception was filled with words of gratitude, from the couple, as well as their wedding party.
We took advantage of the beautiful sunset and roamed around the hidden open fields behind the stables, and boy was it worth it! Brenna and Lawrence even grabbed a donut from the Carpe Donut truck on the way back to the reception! The reception continued with speeches from the rest of the wedding party as well as the patriarchs of their family. Of course, the night wouldn’t have ended the right way without more dancing and partying!
Congratulations Brenna and Lawrence! Hope that you guys are enjoying your honeymoon and more family celebration in China!
