When the lockdown order first lifted up back in June, Tiffany and Phil were the very first couple that I photographed since the beginning of the pandemic. We had been in contact throughout the lockdown period, trying to figure out the safest way to do it - bringing hand sanitizer, wearing masks, staying 6-feet apart - everything that seems like second nature now was new to all of us back in June. Though it was definitely not the normal engagement session that I was used to before the pandemic, it was just as beautiful as the other ones!

It was the perfect summer morning - gentle breeze, early sunrise - we met at the empty parking lot at the Yards Park at SE Washington DC. Tiffany’s blue dress created the perfect contrast against the Yards Bridge and bright greeneries in the backdrop, and together with Phil - they were a dream to photograph, especially the first session after the months of being stuck at home!
