It was a rainy summer day, but the rain only added more romance to Susan and Will’s wedding day! I had the pleasure to second shoot with Anny Photography for their beautifully styled wedding at Brookside Gardens a while back. Susan and Will had a heartwarming celebration with the family and friends, and it was an absolute pleasure that I got to be a small part of their big day!

For Menal and Daniel, they got engaged under cherry blossom trees during the peak season last year, and it’s only fitting that they have their engagement session with cherry blossoms! We got lucky with the weather this year that some trees bloomed earlier than the Yoshino Cherry in DC, and before things have gotten worse with the pandemic, we were able to squeeze in this session and praise God!

There’s a greenhouse of which they would play together inside when they were just kids. Now that they are getting married, the bride brainstorms what she wants for her wedding here once again, thinking of what truly represents them as a couple and imagines herself and her beloved on their wedding day. Lemons have the scent of their love; the greenhouse is the space of their memories; poppy is her favorite flowers, and cake and lemon bars are their favorite sweets! There’s nothing else she needs other than these!
