Rebecca & Mike || Virginia Airlie Garden Wedding
So excited to finally share this stunning wedding of Rebecca and Mike at Airlie! It was definitely a highlight of my career as a wedding photographer, and I’m so excited to see this wedding featured on Washingtonian Weddings as well!
Rebecca and Mike met online by chance. Neither of them had been married and they are both in their 40s and it was so worth the wait! It's truly a fairytale with a happy ending. Unfortunately, Mike was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer just 2 weeks into their engagement - there was a lot of soul-searching and supporting each other throughout - and they came out stronger as a couple.
Rebecca planned and sourced her own details - from her bridal accessories to the plates that were used at the reception. The whole wedding is all surrounded by the theme of a Mid-Summer Night's Dream in November and designed off of the inspirations from the Blue Willow plates collected over the years by the bride's mom, godmother, family friends, and the bride herself.
Their dog, Ollie, was a huge part of their life, and of course, was part of their wedding day! Family and friends who came from far and wide to celebrate them - their vision of their wedding is to make sure their guests will have a wonderful time, from the food to the decor, and the dance party!
Congratulations, Rebecca and Mike! I’m so honored to be a part of your wedding day!
